Josh and Heather Roberts co-founded RSG Sales in March of 2007. The thought of home decor and furniture suppliers selling their products online was in its infancy.  However, Josh’s experience as VP Sales at Ameriwood Industry gave Heather and Josh an advantage.  It was in his role there that Josh began to see the potential of this new sales channel.

 

Josh’s career began as a sales representative for Russell Stover Candies.  He quickly rose up the ranks to become a National Sales Manager.  In 1999 Josh joined Maybelline as a National Account Manager on the Walmart team.  He also had the positions of Director, Wal-Mart Team and Field Sales VP, National Accounts. In 2005 Josh took on the role of VP Sales, Mass Channel for Ameriwood Industries, a division of Dorel Industries. Josh credits his corporate training for his analytical skills and attention to detail. Small shifts can create big changes. In 2009 Josh stepped away from RSG Sales to become the VP of Sales for Jaipur Living.  When he began at  Jaipur the company’s top line revenue was approximately $2M within 4 years sales grew to over $20M. His experience at Jaipur solidified his love of the home decor and furniture industry.  

 

Prior to co-founding RSG Sales Heather was a Stay-at-Home Mom of their 3 children.  As an avid volunteer Heather co-wrote a cookbook, was the PTA President twice, raised tens of thousands of dollars for charitable organizations, and chaired the church’s Vacation Bible School. Josh calls Heather the Wizard Behind the Curtain. It is her responsibility to make sure the team has all of the support, resources, and knowledge to execute effectively. In other words, she makes sure that the team can make the magic happen.

Beyond helping clients sell to the various online retailers, in 2013 Heather founded E by Design, a decorative pillow company. Within two and half years the E by Design was a top 5 pillow supplier at Wayfair. The company also sold to Amazon, Walmart, Overstock, Macys.com, BedBathBeyond.com, Kohls.com, Sears.com, HomeDepot.com, Target.com, Gilt.com, OneKingsLane.com, Hayneedle.com, and several other online retailers that have since closed.  In 2019 Heather sold E by Design for a healthy seven-figure plus exit.  In fact, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary in March 2023.

Patricia Magcalas is the newest member of the leadership team at RSG Sales.  She joined the company in 2022 as Director of Client Management and has grown into an invaluable asset and team member. Her background as an artist and graphic designer combined with her love of learning and attention to detail give Pat a competitive edge.  She has yet to find a challenge that she can’t conquer.
